Coming of age in the relative isolation of island life, it wasn't until relocating to Bangkok that she was able to access the different communities of musical genres that she would later travel between. Wanton is also a cofounder and original member of Queer underground creative collective 'Non Non Non' that has become a Bangkok nightlife staple. Their appearances on the festival scene have included Sonar, Mutek, Dekmantel, Movement Detroit, Awakenings and Voltage, thanks to their true strength: the ability to take a DJ’s knowledge of collective mood manipulation and combine it with the more anarchic or questing spirit of non-techno forms of psychedelic music and ritual practices. Her background varies from house to acid techno, with breakbeat and electronic influences. LABEK is resident DJ of the Bliss party and Opera Festival, 1/4 of Fluidae Collective, all projects that make her an important part of the Sicilian electronic scene.
