Highlights, tips & info to live authentic going out experiences in Marbella
What time do people go out and how is the nightlife in Marbella?
Marbella is known for offering the most glamorous and modern nightlife on the Costa del Sol. Many of those who visit the city come exclusively for the parties. It is considered the Spanish Saint Tropez. The summer season is the most desired, as, during that time, one can enjoy days and nights of fiesta without pause every day of the week. Beach clubs are the main attractions during the day and clubs take over the night with DJs from all over the world. In summer, it is also when the luxurious Starlite festival is held, which fills the city with reggaeton, hip-hop, RnB and house concerts. Beach clubs are open from 11 am to 10 pm in high season. The bars tend to close at the latest at 2 am, while the clubs open at 23 pm, start to fill up at 1 am, and close between 6 and 7 am. In Marbella, the culture of the "terraceo" prevails in the pre-party. The city is full of terraces with incredible sea views. What better can there be?
Which are Marbella’s best neighborhoods to go out?
Marbella offers a wide range of musical styles. Generally, commercial music dominates. Reggaeton is the most popular when it comes to partying. However, also genres such as hip-hop, rap and all the underground are present almost every day of the week. Puerto Banus is famous for its beach clubs, such as Nikki Beach, Opium and Ocean. Although it is at 10 minutes drive from the centre, it is considered the Mecca of partying in Marbella. This area offers countless nightclubs, bars, restaurants and high-class shops. Tibu, Dreamers, Seven and Funky Buddha are the most known clubs here. Also the centre of Marbella offers alternatives to enjoy the night, whether in the form of restaurants, bars or clubs. Lemmon, Maya, Taok and La Clave are some of the clubs you will find in the centre of the city. If you are looking for underground music and atmosphere, forget all this and ask of Olivia Valere and Momento. That's where the electronic scene of Marbella is cooked.
How expensive is to go out in Marbella?
Most clubs have free admission, although if there's an international DJ or a headliner, prices range from €20 to €25, always with a drink included. In the centre of Marbella, you won't pay much more than €4 for a beer and €8 for a drink. If you go with a tight budget, sangria, the summer red wine, and happy-hours will be your friends. In Puerto Banus, prices almost double: beers at 7€, drinks at 15€ and VIP tables with bottles at no less than 200€.
What's the dress code in Marbella?
In the centre of Marbella, the dress code generally isn't very strict. Bermuda shorts are accepted in most places. What's recommended is to wear closed shoes to ensure you the entrance to the party. On the other hand, if you want to go out in Puerto Banús, we recommend you to dress more elegant. In this area, it is common to see women in heels and men in shirts and long trousers. In Marbella, appearance isn't everything... but almost.
