The Sankalpa, or intention, of the second retreat, will focus on the sense of taste, in relation to the second chakra, Swadhisthana, also known as the sexual chakra. The sense of taste, which allows us to appreciate flavors and much more, represents pleasure and style in life. The Swadhisthana chakra is closely linked to food, the body, and sexuality. It is the center of joy, confidence, acceptance, and alliance. This chakra is associated with the water element and manifests in the color orange. When Swadhisthana is in balance, it promotes a healthy relationship with oneself and one's body, stimulating creativity and vitality. The associated Bija Mantra is OM VAM.
