About Carl Craig Carl Craig is a pioneering force in Detroit’s electronic music legacy—an artist, producer, and visionary whose work spans over three decades. Founder of Planet E Communications, he has built a platform for independent, genre-defying expression, with releases crossing techno, house, jazz, and experimental electronic. Under aliases like 69, Paperclip People, and C2, he’s released six LPs and over 600 remixes for artists ranging from Depeche Mode to Kevin Saunderson, earning a Grammy nomination in 2008. As the mind behind Detroit Love, he’s not only an ambassador of sound but also of culture and education. His immersive art installation Party/After-Party has been exhibited at DIA:Beacon, MOCA Los Angeles, and more. In 2024, his life and legacy were captured in Desire: The Carl Craig Story, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
