Mike Dred & Mark Archer

It’s almost surprising that our two guests tonight have never performed together, but we’re proud to present the first ever joint session in the long careers of Mike Dred and Mark Archer, who have worked in parallel since the late eighties, when they were two young Brits in ecstasy over the acid house explosion. Mike Dred, known above all for his alias The Kosmik Kommando and the Universal Indicator series, was linked to legendary names like Richard D James and Rephlex and is one of the main instigators of the use of the 303 in electronic music. Mark Archer is the founder of Altern 8, one of the few names in rave techno who overcame the characteristic anonymity of the artists in this style to enjoy hits. Despite these venerable credentials, neither of them has ever ceased to be active, with live performances and sessions recovering the exciting spirit of those times.
