Finnjävel lets you indulge in the culinary essence of Finland. We celebrate the wild and exotic cuisine of our beloved Northern land. We interpret the unique gastronomy of Finland in a modern yet sophisticated way. Sparking memories in our visitors with a single bite. Finnjävel is a homage to the true masters of the Finnish cuisine. To the Finns, who in the Finnish countryside and cities, cherish, develop and keep alive the Finnish culinary tradition by cooking, baking, hunting and foraging. We proudly continue their work to the best of our abilities. Finnjävels have been travelling across Finland searching for the best and most interesting recipes. They have cooked together with grandmothers and grandfathers, talked, hunted, baked and learned what Finnish food is all about. Finnjävel uses Finnish ingredients. Our carefully chosen ingredients come from selected Finnish farms and other producers but also from the Finnish forests and lakes. Mushrooms, berries, game and fish are the highlights of Finnish gastronomy. Finnjävel has two restaurants: Relaxed Sali is a casual restaurant inspired by Finnish home cooking and Salonki is the place to indulge into Michelin-starred fine dining. Behind the unique Finnish design of Finnjävel Salonki are the renown Finnish designers and architecs Kivi and Tuuli Sotamaa, a brother and a sister. Located in the Taidehalli art exhibition building we are surrounded by all things Finnish.
