Julien Pacientino presented by Exa Club

Paul Røux is a riveting new talent who was born in Nimes France but relocating to Montpellier at a young age. He was surrounded by music throughout his childhood raised in a family of musicians drawing influences from his childhood years listening to Pink Floyd with his father. From this moment onwards he became fascinated with the synthesizer and until recently only possessed a peripheral interest in techno until becoming awakened to the dark and melodic techno sounds that have become the rage in Berlin. Paul's musical talents are not only limited to deep techno but also is a classically trained pianist and is schooled in jazz piano he has drawn on these skills for his first EP on Tanit Records: "Sea Level EP" With hypnotic tension building arpeggiated synths Sea Level is the standout side A cut. "Universe" is dark yet equally uplifting choon blending a chugging percussion line. All together, Paul has managed to marry power and emotion into a stunning debut EP. It's with confidence that we can say both Paul Roux and Tanit are forces to be reckoned with in 2015 and beyond. ‪
