Rory MacInnes joins Xceed as CCO, leveraging international business development expertise to drive global growth in the music industry.

Xceed Welcomes Rory MacInnes as Chief Commercial Officer

Xceed is thrilled to announce the newest addition to our leadership team: Rory MacInnes, who joins us as Chief Commercial Officer. With extensive experience spanning technology, music, e-commerce, and events, Rory brings a dynamic blend of business acumen and industry passion to propel Xceed into its next phase of growth and innovation.

A Proven Track Record of Success

Rory’s impressive career includes leadership roles at major companies like Rocket Internet, Audio Network and Deliveroo. He joins Xceed from AIMS where he spearheaded the company’s business development, overseeing a team across Europe and the U.S., enhancing music search and discovery for a range of music industry verticals. This included Publishing companies, a space in which Rory is well versed, having previously led Audio Network’s Enterprise Team, developing music partnerships with brands like Spotify, L’Oreal and UNICEF.

In his tenure at Deliveroo, Rory saw the company scale from 30 to 3000 employees as it expanded its presence from 5 to 500 cities on the way to its IPO. He led multiple new market entries within the UK and into APAC, before launching Editions, Deliveroo’s ‘dark kitchen’ concept, and finally developing strategies to improve restaurant profitability in his role as Global Head of Restaurant Partnerships.

Rory’s international experience is further underscored by his contributions at the German venture builder Rocket Internet, where he was instrumental in the growth of Jumia, Africa’s first ‘unicorn’ and leading online retailer. He was pivotal in the successful launch and expansion of Jumia’s operations in Uganda, before building out the third-party seller marketplace model in Kenya.

I’m thrilled to be joining Xceed and its brilliant team that’s as passionate about live events as I am, and I look forward to bringing unforgettable experiences to more people around the world. There’s immense potential in the way technology can enhance nightlife experiences, and with such an impressive end-to-end product for event organisers, fans and artists alike, Xceed is well positioned to continue leading that transformation.

Rory’s connection to the music industry runs deep. From organizing and promoting events in London and beyond, Rory has continuously merged his love for music with his professional endeavours. His involvement in the industry has seen him orchestrate events supporting causes like Choose Love, Music Venue Trust and Bridges for Music.

This personal passion for music aligns seamlessly with Xceed’s mission of connecting people with unforgettable nightlife experiences. Rory’s leadership will be instrumental in scaling our platform, driving revenue growth, and expanding Xceed’s global reach in the live event space.

A Strategic Vision for the Future

As Chief Commercial Officer, Rory will be at the helm of Xceed’s business development efforts, leveraging his vast experience to drive strategic expansion and elevate the brand’s position in the global live event industry. His unique blend of music industry knowledge and business expertise positions him perfectly to lead Xceed into an exciting new chapter.
