Venue

Opened in 1923, La Java is a legendary venue in Paris. Today, the club has turned towards electronic music, but the place has remained faithful to its original quality of dancing, having welcomed Django Reinhardt, Jean Gabin and Edith Piaf. La Java is located at 105 rue du Faubourg du Temple in the 10th arrondissement. Located in the basement of a listed art deco building in Paris, the atmosphere is special and full of history. After the renovation of the 1930s, rock took over in the following decades, followed by punk rock in the 1980s. In 2006 the takeover of a new team marked the return of La Java as a club of principally electronic, urban and contemporary music. It's impossible to talk about the club without mentioning the mythical Queer and Voguing parties that have been held there in recent years, such as the House of Mode. It's a club open all year round. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the music programming varies according to organizes the nights from Thursday to Saturday.
