Madrid is known for its huge clubs that make thousands of people dance each night of the week. The Spanish capital is known as a city that never sleeps. You will find there some of the best clubs of the whole Spanish and European nightlife.

To enjoy Madrid nightlife to the fullest, we created for you the list of the best 10 nightclubs in Madrid. Make sure you try them all.

1. Fabrik – The Spanish techno cathedral

Why you should go: If you like Techno and harder genres, love Mega-clubs and feel at home next to the masters of electronic music – we’re talking about names of the caliber of Adam Beyer, Paco Osuna, Amelie Lens, Headhunterz, etc… – Fabrik is THE club you can’t miss in Madrid.

Located on the outskirts of Madrid (in Fuenlabrada, a town 30 km south-west of the capital), Fabrik has one of the biggest club-capacities of the world between its 5 rooms (Main, Satelite, Club Area, Hangar and Crystal) and its spacious Open Air terrace.

Atmosphere: In Fabrik you can breathe the vibes of Ibiza clubs, but also of the great European festivals, defined by the love for music, the imposing room and the power of its sound system and visuals.

Music: Fabrik is known as the club with the best techno and its different types under the name of CODE. To give you an idea of the prestige of its line-ups, in the last 19 years artists such as Carl Cox, Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, etc… have played at its booth.

In recent years, it has also gained great recognition for its 150 concept, where legends of styles such as Hardstyle and Hardcore visit Fabrik to revolutionize the audience with the highest BPMs. Names like Mad Dog, Wildstylez, Da Tweekaz, Sefa or Dr. Peacock are just some of the many who return to Humanes every year.

Although if you’re more into commercial stuff, you can also enjoy Universiparty (with EDM and reggaeton), the biggest university party in all of Madrid.

Recommendations: If you go to Fabrik, make sure you arrive early (there are buses from Templo de Debod every few minutes that run all night long) to enjoy the “parkineo”, where people warm up in the parking lot of the club with music blasting from their cars.

Prices: Normally, tickets start at 20€ and go up closer to the event. For special nights, advance tickets can reach up to 40-60€.

2. Ištar – The temple of the afro house

Why you should go: As soon as you enter the room, a mystical air takes over you as if you were entering a pharaonic catacombs. Its elegant vibe and its marked musical line have turned Ištar into one of the trendiest venues in Madrid’s nightlife, and that is reflected in the hype generated around its name and the power of attraction they have every day they open their doors.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the room is a mix between exotic and elegant. Values are reflected both in the vibe of the room, with warm and low lights, but also in the contribution of its audience with formal and exotic attire in equal parts.

Music: The nickname with which Ištar has been baptized is no coincidence. The Madrid club has earned the fame of “temple of afro house” not only for being their usual musical lineup every night they open the doors but also for having invited some of the top preachers of the genre in their booth such as Guy Gerber, Satori, Mëstizas or Notre Dame among many more.

Recommendations: This club usually emphasizes table and reserved service, so check in advance the availability of these in case you are interested in going in a group.

3. Goya Social Club – The deepest Deep in Madrid

Why you should go: When an artist like The Magician mentions a 400-capacity club, among the top 15 venues in which he performed, it means that there is something special. In the case of the club located in Calle Goya 43, it is a combination between its crowds, its Funktion-one sound system and the ability of its DJs, true Deep/Tech House “geeks”. Goya is a club not only crafted by DJs, but FOR DJs: in any given night it can happen that a DJ like Maceo Plex just happens to pass by and starts performing (as happened the 15th November 2015 during an Odd Parents session).

Atmosphere: At Goya, you will find a relatively young crowd that loves House music in all its forms. If you are looking for Premium Alcohol and excellent client care, Goya will feel like home.

Even if it opened 50 years ago, it is still one of the role models when it comes to throwing events. During the weekends, on the same night, you could attend both – your favorite rock band concert,  and a proper clubbing set.Atmosphere: La Riviera has such a polyvalent atmosphere with varied line-ups, that you really can’t ascribe this club to any specific category, got to see it for yourself.

Atmosphere: Los Amantes stands out for having a very stylish audience. That is why, when one enters the club, one immediately catches the vibe created both by its people and by those in charge of providing the soundtrack to the evening.

Music: As we mentioned, electronic music is the main musical attraction. The house opens to its multiple variants in this place, from the most tech sounds to the most exotic tribal rhythms, always on track to the beat of the bass drum.

Music: Fitz has hosted parties and artists of all kinds. Take a good look at the calendar before you go, because the variety of its programming includes parties with the biggest urban and commercial hits of the moment with special visits from artists of the likes of Ozuna or Fuego, to nights of pure electronica with international DJs like Camelphat, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola or Loco Dice among many others.

9. Sala Groove – Legendary nights on the outskirts of Madrid

Why you should go: After 25 years of history, Sala Groove has carved a niche in the hearts of young electronic music lovers. Hard beats are always welcome, to the point that the venue has been chosen on more than one occasion to host mythical parties of such renowned brands as Blackworks – or its little brother Hyperlink – on nights that will still last in the memory of many.

Atmosphere: The club welcomes everyone, letting them express themselves as they wish both in terms of attire and the way they dance. The eclectic list of parties reflects the open-mindedness embraced by its audience.

Music: Within the variety of promoters that celebrate their events in the legendary Sala Groove, the common denominator in most of their nights is usually the intensity. From nights centered on remember with a “bakala” touch like Vulkan, to others starring the drums of hard techno like the takeovers of Blackworks.

Recommendations: Beyond seeing the program beforehand to know what you’ll be dancing to each night, we also recommend being foresighted in terms of transportation. La Groove is not located in Madrid city but in Pinto. So, if you come from the city you will have to get around by public transport or by cab.

10. Costa Social Club – Friend gathering amidst urban rhythms

Why you should go: It’s no secret that we love electronic music, but there are times when you just want to shake your hips. For that, Costa Social Club is one of our favorite spots, as not only does it dish out a wide variety of urban beats (from dancehall to R&B), but the crowd usually gives it their all on the dance floor.

Atmosphere: The centrally located venue has two floors with an industrial look & feel. Even so, the contrast is noticeable in the warmth and diversity of the people, who come eager to have a good time and show their skills on the dance floor -so much so, that it is even common to witness dance battles at the height of the night.

Music: Urban and commercial rhythms are the protagonists of this venue. On the same night, the playlist can range from reggaeton to trap, dancehall, and R&B. In addition, many artists celebrate their afterparties there, so don’t be surprised to see your favorite singer celebrating and letting his hair down after his concert.
