Definitely, yes. Valencia is very cool. And it’s getting more and more. Looking ahead to this month of May, the city offers parties of very diverse styles. We bring you a selection of 5 events among which you will find an outdoor festival, several club parties focused on alternative electronic music, a party for students and the big cherry on the cake: the Code party (which you already know well in Xceed) in the historic Barraca. Are you ready?
5. Girls Love DJs and more @ Erasmus Party (Rumbo 144)
It all started out as a party. That was 10 years ago. But the concept of Girls Love DJs evolved to what it is today: an artist capable of turning any dance floor upside down with his greatest hits, published by prestigious labels such as Spinnin’ Records. Girls Love DJs is the main attraction of this party for Erasmus students in one of the most fun clubs for something like that: Rumbo 144. Get ready for this, Valencia!
When: Wednesday, May 15th
Where: Rumbo 144
Lineup: Girls Love DJs and Big Papi
4. Días de Campo 2019
This is already its 3rd edition, and it seems that it’s gonna be the best so far. Días de Campo is the Valencian festival par excellence. 90 kilometres north of the Valencian capital, the municipality of Montanejos offers a beautiful natural enclosure surrounded by thermal waters. There, surrounded by nature, we can enjoy a 3-day festival with big artists such as Joy Orbison, Jon K, Axel Boman or, of course, the idol of the area, Edu Imbernon. Welcome to Días de Campo 2019!!
When: May, Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th
Where: Montanejos
Lineup: Joy Orbison, Jon K, Axel Boman, Edu Imbernon, Hamish Cole, Pepé, Boranimals, Sam Paradise, AAPAES, Goalmaker, Toni Copas, Charlie Whatever and Dan Shake
3. Franky Rizardo, Spega, Fran Hernandez and more @ ZIUR (Next Club)
As they call it, this is “La Última”, which means “the last one”. We have hardly noticed that a new season of ZIUR has already gone. Without a doubt, we are talking about one of the most reliable parties in Valencia, always facing the best house, tech-house and techno sounds, with the best quality and elegance. For this last event of the season, ZIUR joins forces with the people of Cocoa Málaga to present Franky Rizardo, an artist from the Defected family.
When: Friday, May 10th
Where: Next Club
Lineup: Franky Rizardo, Spega, Fran Hernandez and Rópez
2. Luca Agnelli and more @ Code World Tour (Barraca)
While writing history at Fabrik in Madrid, Code is touring the rest of the country to export its techno sound and allow the party to reach the most historical Spanish clubs. Barraca is never absent from this list. In May, it will feature the Italian Luca Agnelli. We are talking about one of the most acid and convincing artists of all those who have recently released music on Drumcode. It’s also common to see him on labels like Elevate or even Suara. With Luca Agnelli, there will be Nuke and Cesar Almena, resident artists at Code.
When: Saturday, May 11th
Where: Barraca
Lineup: Luca Agnelli, Cesar Almena, Nuke, Siles, Aaron Gehrig, Nacho Gil and Victor Polo
1. tINI and more @ Oven Club Centro
tINI is one of the most interesting micro-sounds selectors. Although she’s German, her sound is closer to Eastern Europe and to scenes such as Ukrainian or, especially, Romanian. Her style is microhouse, although dub, breaks and even deep techno are usually present in her performances. Although she lives in Barcelona, it’s not easy to see tINI playing in Valencia. There’s not gonna be a better chance to enjoy her exquisiteness as a vinyl collector and mixer. Come and be part of THE GANG!
When: Friday, May 24th
Where: Oven Club Centro
Lineup: tINI and more TBA
