2024 has gifted us an extra day in February –and we’re not talking about Valentine’s Day, don’t worry–, so let’s make the most of it. There are many ways to enjoy these extra 24 hours, but they all involve dance floors. So if you’re going to be in Barcelona this month, here are 10 events you should mark on your calendar.
SIGHT pres. Loco Dice, Andre Buljat & Kesia
Sunday 18 February @ Pacha Barcelona
The Cherry House gives us reasons to extend the weekends a little bit more… Once again. Celebrating Carnival in style, Pacha has invited one of the living legends of clubbing: the one and only, Loco Dice. Dress up as you like, but put on comfortable shoes because, with the German selector at the decks, it will be impossible to stop dancing throughout the evening.
PRISM pres. SYMBOLISM by BEN SIMS
Saturday 10 February @ INPUT Dance Club
Prepare the seismographs, because Montjuïc will suffer an earthquake. Bluntness and darkness will be the common denominators of the soundtrack on Saturday, the 10th, with the return of Ben Sims to Barcelona. The British standard-bearer will test the renowned sound system of the Catalan club in a weekend full of techno at INPUT.
Les Enfants Brillants pres. Arapu All Night Long
Friday 23 February @ Les Enfants Brillants
Dan Andrei, whom many of you may know as Arapu, is probably one of the most beloved figures in Barcelona. The Romanian producer feels at home every time he steps into Les Enfants, and his connection with the Catalan audience is so strong that on his next visit, he will take control of the DJ booth by himself. That’s right, an all-night-long set by one of the trendiest artists in the micro house and minimal house scene in one of the genre’s landmark venues. What more could you ask for?
NOM pres. Patrice Baumel & Amadori
Saturday 10 February @ Bikini Club
If you’re more of a melodic sound person, undoubtedly Nom is your spot in Barcelona’s nightlife scene. The weekly party at Bikini Club will host Patrice Bäumel to mesmerize us with his delicate musical selection, accompanied by resident DJ Amadori demonstrating that he knows his crowd better than anyone else.
Housy with Mëstiza, Piem & Edu Natored
Friday 9 February @ CDLC – Carpe Diem
What happens when you fuse flamenco with house music? That’s the question that Mestiza answered. The Spanish duo brings traditional sound and aesthetics to the dance floor, with a set and staging that might leave you speechless. A party that will feature local heroes Piem and Edu Natored putting the icing on the monthly CDLC event.
SUPERFEKTA NEW SEASON w/ Frankey & Sandrino
Saturday 10 February @ Ocean Barcelona
Let yourself be carried away by the best afro house and tribal rhythms that SUPE(R)FEKTA proudly presents. For the opening of its new season, the collective moves to the heart of the city with a top-level lineup. Headed by the German duo Frankey & Sandrino, the Barcelona-based brand will take control of Ocean accompanied by the most select local talent.
INPUT pres. SOLOTOKO by Sonny fodera
Friday 16 February @ INPUT Dance Club
Tech house is still alive and kicking. Much of the credit for the genre’s continued dominance goes to Sonny Fodera and his label, Solotoko, who have secured INPUT for February 16th. But keep your eyes peeled, because there are surprises yet to be discovered, such as which artists will join the Australian producer in the DJ booth.
SIGHT & Locked pres. Ben Klock, Paula Cazenave & Gerard Bauza
Sunday 25 February @ Pacha Barcelona
If we talk about Berlin techno, it’s impossible not to think of Ben Klock. The Berghain resident returns to Barcelona to teach a masterclass on the decks to those lucky enough to stand before the speakers. An event where the Sight and Locked collectives join forces to turn the last Sunday of the month into a grand farewell to February.
Tunnel pres. LA ASO: Nu Zau b2b Sepp, Alci & LA ASO F.C Pisano b2b Jesus
Friday 9 February @ Bikini Club
If la aso and Uvar collaborate, that means there’s something to celebrate. And there are few things more important than blowing out the candles 10 years after the birth of your own label, and that’s why Nu Zau and Sepp take the opportunity to gift us with a b2b at Bikini Club. With them, the hosts Pisano and Jesus couldn’t be missing, who will also share CDJs, joined by Alci closing the lineup of a night full of minimal and micro house rhythms that pay homage to the old-school raves.
Valhalla pres. Skatman, Rivellino, Niixii & Ivan Pugliares
Saturday 17 February @ Les Enfants Brillants
If you don’t know how to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’re here to save you. Les Enfants opens its doors to Valhalla again to bring the dancefloor to life during the day as well. On Saturday, February 17th, Skatman will be the VIP guest who will bring the Innervisions’ savoir-faire to test the Hi-Fi sound system of the Gothic Quarter spaceship. Six hours of party where we can also enjoy the sound of familiar faces like Rivellino, founder of the collective, in addition to the musical selection of NIIXII and Ivan Pugliares.
