If you’re a local, Razzmatazz doesn’t need introduction: we’ve all walked in and staggered back out at one time or another. If you’re not from Barcelona, Razzmatazz, or “Razz” can be described as an icon of Barcelona’s alternative culture. The venue is huge and contains 5 different rooms to satisfy everyone’s musical tastes. The weekend of 17th-19th February will be pretty heavy for the club as it will welcome top-notch techno artists, including Boys Noize, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Davide Squillace, Martin Buttrich, etc…
He’s the techno punk, the unboxable nomad: Berlin DJ, producer and label owner Alex Ridha, better known as Boys Noize. He’s not a little player, Beatport has named him “Top 10 DJ’s Who Rule The World” and Beatport elected him “Best Electronic Act” 3 years in a row. The king will be in Barcelona on february 17 to open this crazy techno weekend.
Sam Shepherd aka Floating Points has quickly become one of the most respected and sought-after musicians in modern music. Born in Manchester, the young London based producer/dj/composer is coming to Barcelona for an epic 5-hour set! See you down the front, and prepare to swoon.
If you are in Barcelona, this is your chance to catch Berlin-based DJ and producer Fritz Kalkbrenner! After his last visit to Razzmatazz (Razzmatazz’s 14th anniversary with Ways Over Water) Fritz Kalkbrenner returns to present his new work Grand Départ. A disc that follows the line of its predecessor and where the composer, producer and singer presents new analog landscapes for his habitual and particular sound.
Another great guest invited by Insert Club (the promoter of spanish and international techno ) on Sunday 19. Klaudia Gawlas, the DJ, producer and label boss will bring her straight techno thrills to her Barcelona fans.
Martin Buttrich, Davide Squillace and Matthias Tanzmann make a highly-anticipated return under their Better Lost Than Stupid alias, embarking on a full tour for the first time since teaming up on the project.
The tour will take on various locations across Europe throughout February. There’ll be stops in among others London, Bucharest, Beirut, Bergamo and…Barcelona! Martin, David and Matthias have been working hard throughout 2016 to take Better Lost Than Stupid to the next level in 2017 so you won’t be disappointed. Come with us, we’ll get a kick out of it!
