For yet another year, Barcelona is preparing to experience the most terrifying night of the year. Halloween always dyes the city dark and black but serves as a reason for the clubbers to fill the clubs, whatever day of the week it is. In 2019, Halloween happens on a Thursday night, so it extends the weekend with plenty of events. Let’s take a look.
One of the first raves of the season is always the one Astra Space Travel organizes for Halloween. On this occasion, the great guest is Jonas Kopp, although there will be many more local artists who will fill the Techno and Electro stages until after noon. The location will be communicated hours before the event.

If Archives is one of the big Thursday dates, it wasn’t going to miss Halloween night. For the occasion, Casa Gracia’s basement will host an important list of top-secret guests. The best house and fresh sounds full of groove will set the tone for the night.

INPUT’s imperial Funktion One sound system will be delivered on Halloween night to the collaboration of the labels run by two of its residents. On the one hand, Yakazi, commanded by Hitch; on the other, Unmuted, led by The Deals.

If you prefer urban or Latin music, one of the best offers is the one offered by Razzmatazz. Its proposals Mandanga and El Dirty, which are common during weekdays for university students in Barcelona, join forces on Halloween night to make the most of the passion for the well-known “perreo”.

The Garage 442 is a free entry bar that usually offers sessions from important DJs from the local scene. All right so far. But, for Halloween, they’ve programmed the great Angel Molina, undoubtedly one of the biggest names in our techno academy. A veteran of the genre and infallible always in the selection and in the mix.

Another good option for fans of Latin and urban rhythms, like reggaeton or trap, is Pacha-chá, a regular Thursday date that, for Halloween, is tinged with darkness programming most of its resident DJs.

Nick Höppner is a regular at Panorama Bar, the top room of the mythical Berghain focused on the most colourful sounds of house music. There he performs monthly, while also releasing his music on Ostgut Ton, Berghain’s label. He will deliver his best house music in a new Jackies night, this time at the new Ethniko beach club.

The great Miki Craven celebrates the 25th anniversary at Moog with a big party full of guest artists and harsh, industrial and raw rhythms, generally, techno, although with breakbeat and EBM nuances. Moog never fails. And it’s not gonna fail on Halloween either.

Born in the 80s, Raul Mezcolanza is a veteran of Barcelona’s nightlife. For many years, he was an elrow resident, spreading an energy-charged tech sound with plenty of room for dance classics. He is the great guest of a new Thursday of underground electronics at CityHall.

Already on Friday, normalcy will be dressed in techno in Barcelona thanks to Ben Klock, one of the highest standards of Berlin techno sound made in Berghain. The German will take over The Loft, the upper room of Razzmatazz.

The Dutch Patrice Bäumel is one of the most shaped melodic techno & house producers in recent years. He is one of the main visible faces of the cult label Kompakt and has also published for imprints like Afterlife. His presence makes this Onírica party one of the best we have seen so far.

There is little we can explain about Joseph Capriati that our community doesn’t already know. His techno sound turned to more relaxed options a few years ago, but his sets are still loaded with forcefulness… and certain jewels that will never go out of style. His visits to Barcelona aren’t many, so why miss this chance?

Another night full of techno rhythms with industrial nuances at Moog, the club that never rests and always opens its doors to the lovers of the hardest slopes of electronic music. On this occasion, Ruben Seoane will be accompanied by the great Iñaki Kreator.

The Italian DJ Tennis, creator of the transcendental label Life And Death, will expand his sounds for 5 hours in the night session of Razzmatazz, again in The Loft. Manfredi comes from living golden years, performing in several of the most important clubs and festivals in town, such as Nitsa, Sónar or DGTL. It’ll be a night of reencounters for one of the most influential DJs of our century.

NOM, Barcelona’s most ethnic, melodic and shamanic sound party, takes a small lateral step towards more tech and club-focused sounds. With the mythical Hot Since 82, creator of anthems like “Veins” or “Voices”, fun is more than guaranteed.

With “Jdid” (their new album) recently released, the prestigious duo Acid Arab returns to Nitsa to present live the new sounds that we could already hear for the first time this July at Sónar. A live show full of Arabic melodies and songs adapted to the club dancefloor awaits us.

Victor Fernandez is one of the most promising young talents of Barcelona’s techno scene. This Saturday, he’ll repeat in extended format (4 hours) in one of the clubs that has seen him grow the most throughout the city: the historic CityHall.

Night of techno classics at INPUT. On the one hand, the Hungarian Jay Lumen, one of the pioneers of underground music in Eastern Europe. On the other hand, Wehbba, a Brazilian producer and DJ who has come to release music in top-level imprints such as Drumcode.

Donations is a 12-hour charity party that aims to raise funds for homeless people and, on this occasion, also to fight deforestation that is suffering the world. The line-up is kept secret, but the techno sound usually dominates. The location, The Garage of The Bass Valley, presents a sound system that is unique in Spain and a leading one throughout Europe.
