After registering the highest attendance in its history on its 15th anniversary, NEOPOP is preparing to celebrate its 16th edition on 10, 11 and 12 August. In recent years, the festival has established Viana do Castelo as the Capital of Techno in Portugal, placing it on the international map as a cultural destination that fuses tradition and modernity.
A location surrounded by mountains and the ocean, with the best beaches and the most stunning landscapes in the country. But also with the best names in the industry in its booths. CHARLOTTE DE WITTE
Belgian Charlotte de Witte will be leading the way. The head of the prominent KNTXT label has worked her way up from underground – where she started out under her male alias Raving George – to become one of the biggest female names not only of techno, but of electronic music today. Her aptly acid influences have positioned her as the highest rated woman of the year in DJ Mag Top 100 and she managed to be the first to close Tomorrowland‘s mainstage. Immerse yourself in her fine techno!
VTSS
The female talent that NEOPOP has signed for this year’s edition is at a superior level since the announcement of VTSS. Expect one of the spiciest and most queer sets of the festival with the Polish artist in the booth. Her twists of experimental, techno, pop and even Latin beats will create a magical atmosphere that you won’t be able to get out of your head.
DUBFIRE b3b PACO OSUNA b3b NICOLE MOUDABER
Three legends, one booth. NEOPOP knew it wouldn’t fail with this trio of titans in such a special format. Dubfire, Paco Osuna and Nicole Moudaber are ready to give a lesson of the most consolidated techno. A unique opportunity that you will probably never have again in your life.
DARIA KOLOSOVA b2b ETAPP KYLE
Separately, brilliant. Together, sublime. Daria Kolosova and Etapp Kyle radiate chemistry on and off stage. Their b2b has become one of the most eagerly awaited in all the line-ups across Europe. From the couple you can expect hard techno and groove to bring out your most danceable side.
HÉCTOR OAKS
Spanish vinyl wizard Héctor Oaks will also be present at the next edition of NEOPOP. Be sure to check out his set if you want to witness one of the most creative musical selections on the line-up and an unparalleled ability in the booth.
PATRICK MASON
For this special occasion the showman of the moment could not be missing. The man who makes even the stones on the floor dance, Patrick Mason. His sets are a hybrid of mixing and performance that are making waves and we’re sure you’ll love him in Portugal.
MALL GRAB
All the way from Australia to Portugal. Mall Grab is one of those names that goes almost unnoticed among so many techno bigwigs, but we can guarantee that he doesn’t beat about the bush. No two sets will be the same from this versatile and experimental artist whose music is bold, sensual and euphoric.
PARTIBOI69
His alias is party boy, so can anything go wrong? Another Aussie on the line-up, this time with a much-needed humorous and shameless touch. Partiboi69‘s productions full of extravagance that range between ghetto-house, techno and electro perfectly represent what the coming generations demand.
CRAVO b2b VIL
An unstoppable local duo. Portuguese duo Cravo and Vil are the present and future of the grooviest side of techno. Let yourself be seduced by their melodies and dance as if nothing and nobody were around you.
IMOGEN
One of the fastest growing newcomers on the scene. Enjoy her before she goes viral on TikTok. IMOGEN was since 2019 resident of the famous fabric London. Knowing this, you can already get an idea that her bass-heavy vision of English techno will not leave you indifferent.
