You don’t have to be a music nerd to appreciate that the last few years have seen a lot of great music, influenced by the ever-changing political and social landscape. Fake news, memes, and, above all, social media. Through these, Australian duo Flight Facilities have been sharing their ‘triple j Mix Up Exclusives’ for several years. And a new episode has just been released!

In their Decade Mix series, Flight Facilities takes us on a chronological journey through music and events from 1962 to 2022. Certainly, an original way to relive the past and embrace nostalgia. Also, Hugo and Jimmy, the talented minds behind Flight Facilities, used to perform live DJ sets for each mix premiere. And they plan to bring back these exciting performances. The best part? You have the chance to choose where you’d like to witness their magic by filling out a form.

But back to the point, this new musical mosaic spans 2012-2022. Ten years in which pop and electronic music converged more than ever. The time of EDM’s famous boom. Where melodic has gone viral and Fred Again is the new prophet. The mix offers a curious blend of genres, featuring tracks from the likes of Bruno Mars to Jamie Jones. A celebration of the best of each world!

While the rise of AI promises a transformative future in 2032, let’s not rush ahead. For now, let’s live in the present and dance to the bangers of Flight Facilities’ new mix.
