Aphex Twin released a new track titled ‘Korg Funk 5’ using Kong synthesizers

Warp Records, the English record label, has published an interview directly conducted by Aphex Twin with Tatsuya Takahashi, the talented artist and current advisor at Korg after being Chief Engineer of Analog Synthesizers for almost 10 years.

Aphex Twin, AKA Richard D James, has released the new track titled ‘Korg Funk 5‘ alongside the 6,000 word interview with Takahashi: an incredible work perfectly made by using exclusively Korg synthesizers. The interview is more like a chat of two friends, in which the artists give personal opinions and comments on microtuning and its benefits, custom scales while providing some insights on their working practices. Takahashi, currently living in Cologne, has been rewarded for his works on synths, including the Minilogue, Monologue, Monotribe and Volca series.

Check below Alphex Twin’s ‘Korg Funk 5’, perfectly made with Korg synthesizers including some vocals from James’ son.
