Summer’s done, everyone’s back in town, and WRD is rolling out a proper run of autumn showcases across Torino to keep you guys busy. They’re taking over spots likeQ35 Warehouse, AZIMUT and Astoria, alongside local collectives, with a season lineup that has plenty in store for fans of deep, hypnotic and live techno.
Here are 6 key artists on the schedule this season and why you’ll want to catch them live.
Quest – 26 September at Q35
An obsessive digger with an extraordinary collection of rare gems, Quest is a true selector’s selector. Known for his technical prowess behind the decks, the Italian-born, London-based DJ navigates through electro, house, broken beats, and obscure Italian gems with total ease. Hosted by Ear\Wax, expect an extended journey that digs deep into the unexpected.
Kangding Ray – 3 October at Q35
French-born, Berlin-based producer Kangding Ray (David Letellier) has long occupied a unique space where experimental sound meets heavier basslines. Founder of the ARA imprint and alumnus of iconic labels like Raster-Noton and Stroboscopic Artefacts, his sets blend percussive techno, sub-heavy basslines, and hypnotic atmospheric textures that have even extended into cinema, earning him the Cannes Soundtrack Award in 2025.
Stef Mendesidis – 3 October at Q35
When it comes to dynamic minimalism and live techno, Stef Mendesidis is your guy. Known for his one-take approach and technically demanding deck setup, he builds groove-heavy arrangements in real time, combining his own drum loops with space for improvisation. Playing alongside Kangding Ray at Q35 Warehouse, he promises a deep trip through contemporary techno.
Hector Oaks – 17 October at Q35
A staple of the international vinyl purist scene through and through, Hector Oaks brings pure energy to every performance. Operating out of Berlin, the KAOS label head is famous for his highly empathetic style behind the decks, blending rough-edged techno, early 2000s rave tracks, and fast-paced acid.
Daniel Avery – 24 October at Q35
The jump between ambient introspection and heavy club music bridges naturally in Daniel Avery’s sets. Over the course of his career, the UK producer has developed a signature sound spanning dream-state techno, breakbeats, drone and atmospheric electronics, with clear echoes of shoegaze and industrial music. If it’s ever your chance to try some leftfield territory, here’s your moment.
Blanka – 5 December at AZIMUT
Originally from Córdoba, Spain, and based in Berlin, Blanka co-founded Room Trax with Angioma, a label and event series connecting the Barcelona and Berlin electronic scenes. She plays the kind of heads-down techno that makes you completely lose track of time, landing in Torino soon with her rolling 4×4 rhythms and hypnotic loops for an all-night-long set.
