Planck is a surname for Max, Nobel Prize in Physics that, at the beginning of the 20th century, opened way for what we know today as quantum mechanics and defended that a black body has the capacity of absorbing all of the incident radiation, and would also be a perfect reflector. Planck can also be a sound, an onomatopoeia such as 'Boing!', 'Boom!', or 'Tschak!', taking us immediately to the first minutes of "Electric Cafe" by Kraftwerk. Planck is also the name of a party that occurs only at Gare Porto, programmed by Dexter Lx, with -Tombo-'s artwork, always with special guests, and music from yesterday, today and tomorrow - with a spirit that is free of misconceptions and embarassments. In space and time. Planck is back on September 15th - after a long silence - with Matrixxman, Dexter Lx and -Tombo-. Matrixxman A new force in U.S. techno has emerged. In 2015, debut concept album “Homesick” on Ghostly International received critical acclaim from the likes of The Quietus and Resident Advisor. Meanwhile on the 12″ front, a barrage of no less than 12 separate EP’s within a two-year period ultimately secured him a home with Dutch tastemakers Dekmantel. Both his production and DJ style deftly run the gamut from frenetic percussive workouts to more emotive, euphoric ends of the spectrum. Sci-fi and futuristic narratives heavily inform the body of his work allowing him to transcend the limitations of any one particular genre. A quelques mètres de l'arrêt de train de Sao Bento, au numéro 182 de la Rua du Madeira, se trouve "Gare Club" le temple de la techno à Porto. Considéré comme l'un des meilleurs clubs d'Europe et le favori de nombreux artistes de divers genres, Gare Club est un concept totalement alternatif qui te fera découvrir une culture alternative de la scène underground européenne. Pas d’exagération quand on parle de « temple techno ». L’aspect du club est totalement inédit et te fera danser dans les catacombes des grandes constructions d’antan. Un grand espace rectangulaire avec des murs en pierres rustiques et un plafond rénové qui donne à la pièce cette touche industrielle que nous aimons tant. En plus, comme ses murs sont fait de pierres solides, le son ne passe pas à travers et reste parfaitement isolé pour une acoustique parfaite. Cerise sur le gâteau, son système son Void Acoustics lui offre un son de qualité, clair et puissant pour faire vibrer vos tympans. Justement en parlant de son, on trouve une musique de qualité à Gare Club. Artistes locaux et internationaux viennent composer les lineups de la boîte chaque semaine. Tu y trouvera le meilleur de l’Electro, House, Tech-house et techno ultra pure jouée par des artistes tels que Dax J, Jeff Mills, John Talabot, Kiasmos, Helena Hauff, Len Faki, DVS1, Dj Rush, Amelie Lens, Dj Rolando et bien d’autres. Au niveau du dress code, ne t’en fais pas trop, à l’intérieur de Gare Club il fait plutôt sombre, donc les vêtements que tu portes passeront au second plan. On te conseille de t’habiller de manière comfortable, des habits dans lesquels tu te sens bien pour danser et te trémousser jusqu’aux petites heures. Grâce à Xceed, tu peux acheter tes préventes à un prix un peu plus intéressant et cela t’évite aussi de faire la queue à l’entrée du club. S’il s’agit d’une soirée improvisée, tu peux toujours acheter tes tickets à l’entrée du club, mais il vaut mieux acheter à l’avance en cas de grosse lineup pour éviter le sold out. En ce qui concerne les heures et jours d’ouverture, Gare Club ouvre pratiquement tous les vendredis et samedis de minuit à 7h du matin. Son emplacement parfait ainsi que son insonorisation acoustique lui permet de prolonger un peu la fête chaque fois. Enfin, les prix des tickets de Gare varient, mais le club offre de nombreux événements avec entrée gratuite avec pour objectif de promouvoir la culture de la nuit et du clubbing. Pour un event plus conventionnel, il faut compter 10€ à 15€, prix qui dépendra de la soirée et de l’artiste invité.
