Aitor Ronda | Happy Sundays: Inauguración

Aitor Ronda has had a long career behind him as DJ and producer, but the development of his musical and performing skills during the last few months, points to a profile which is still to reach its higher peaks. In the early 2000’s Aitor started as Resident DJ in one of Barcelonas first techno nights, a downtown venue, known as the infamous The Loft Razzmatazz, one of the oldest and probably the most well known electronic clubs. From there, he has joined some of the most prestigious residencies in Barcelona, like his own Cube, until finally he moved to Florida135, the most important techno club in Spainish history. There he stayed until 2014, when he left his residency to be able to focus on touring. During these years, he also performed at very influential Festivals and Clubs, such as Sonar, Monegros, Space, Privilege, Fabric and elrow, just to mention a few … All this experience, has turned him into one of the most powerful performing DJ’s in the Spanish scene, capable of capturing the imagination of 15.000 audience,and fully committed to his unmistakable techno sound and magnetic stage presence. Also in 2015 he started his own night in Barcelona called Main Beat. For the last 10 years he’s released a uncountable quantity of tracks, way over a hundred, on many different and influential techno labels (Stick, Toolroom, Natura Viva, Unity Records, Monique Musique, Be One, La Pera, Safir, Fresco, Lapsus … …), and also on his own imprints Upfront and Drakos. But the end of 2015 is also a turning point in his career as producer. Upfront & Drakos, besides his usual production of techno DJ tools, will release a series on collaboration with legendary DJ Rush (on the vocals!!), on a stunning brand new overview over the classic Dancemania and Relief “jackin’” sounds. Also, he is about to present a new imprint AR, a joint venture with respected rising techno-star-producer Alberto Ruiz. And lastly, he’s starting his personal melodic series, a suggestive exploration on early techno sounds passed through Aitor’s newest techno-sound shaker, the first of which "V" to be relased before the end of 2015 at Minifunk Records. At the present time he is working on a special psychedelic melodies album for 2016 in order to develop the V concept.
