“Fatte ‘na pizza c’a pummarola ‘ncoppa, vedrai che il mondo poi ti sorriderà”. [Pino Daniele] Welcome to Da Michele. Or, rather, to the Antica Pizzeria Da Michele, a story about tradition, simplicity and hospitality. Tradition, because Da Michele was born in 1870 in the heart of Naples. It was there where the Condurro family launched a century-old tradition: the art of pizza. Simplicity, because they just play what they know how to play... and what we all want to play: pizza and beer, always a winning combination. And hospitality, because the Da Michele team will always offer you a personalised treatment, trying to make this not just another pizzeria dinner, but one that you will remember, at least for some time. Located in the right Eixample, very close to the crossroads of Carrer Consell de Cent and Passeig de Gràcia, Da Michele offers pizzas for all tastes (our favourite is the Diavola, made up of tomato, 'fior di latte Agerola' mozzarella, basil, pecorino PDO, salami and spicy oil), although it also has a very good offer of antipasti (you will not regret ordering Fritti Napolitani, a pasta omelette filled with green peas, bechamel, grated cheese, mozzarella and minced meat, potato croquette, small montanara or small fried calzone with ricotta and pepper) and Trattoria (we are fans of eggplant parmigiana and gnocchi al tegamino). Don't forget to ask for limoncello with your dessert or the owner will get mad at you!
