Venue
Hotel La Meridiana
The La Meridiana complex is located inside the Major Episcopal Seminary of Acqui Terme, a prestigious building erected to a design by Bernardo Vittone between 1755 and 1772. Built over the centuries to facilitate the reception and studies of the religious, today these walls, after a skilful restoration, are open to tourism, offering a sober and comfortable hospitality in line with the spirit of the place. Once through the original wooden doorway, one finds oneself in front of the Chapel of the Major Seminary in neo-Gothic style, which dominates the large courtyard embraced by the arcades of the porticoes and watched over from above by the splendid bronze statue of the Sacred Heart. The remarkable scissor staircase leads to Hotel la Meridiana. The long and meditative corridors of the seminarists, the large windows overlooking the red roofs of the old town, the various convivial rooms, the cloister always in bloom and illuminated by the sun provide a relaxing atmosphere in ancient places rich in spiritual history where silence regenerates body and mind, while time passes outside these spaces.
