Yes, you heard it correctly, Café del Mar is coming to Barcelona! Founded in Ibiza in the 1980s, Cafe del Mar grew famous as being the perfect spot on the Island to listen to the finest house music while enjoying one of the world’s most suggestive sunsets.
Situated in the Port Forum of Sant Adrià, the latest addition to the Cafe del Mar legacy will open its doors this Saturday 27th of May at 4PM: waiting for you there will be more than 4,000 square meters and a staff of about 170 workers, making this new club not only the first one in Barcelona but also the largest Café del Mar in the world!
The opening of Café del Mar is one of the most expected events in Barcelona of the year. It surely won’t disappoint as it will be some mind-blowing party hosting some elite DJs such as Erick Morillo, David Penn, Juan Díaz, Cesar de Melero and Peter Brown. The event will last from dusk till dawn promising the start of a mad season in Barcelona.
Although the club area outside will close at midnight, the interior, which has a capacity of up to 600 people, will remain open until 6am. And if the huge space in the main complex isn’t enough, then clients can opt to head up to the exclusive rooftop that boasts amazing views of the city skyline, perfect for catching those Spanish sunsets.
Café del Mar has several locations in Spain, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Australia … but the one in Barcelona is pushing the boundaries of the impossible.
