As the European festival season heats up, Sound Waves Festival is gearing up for its 17th edition, promising to be a standout event in the Techno and Hard Techno scenes. Scheduled for July 6th in Esmoriz, Portugal, this festival has carved out a reputation over the past 19 years as a must-attend for fans of the genre, with non-stop music lasting more than 20 hours.
This year’s lineup features an impressive array of talent, with headliners such as I Hate Models, the masked French techno sensation, and American Sara Landry. The festival will also see the return of Shlømo, the hard-hitting French producer, known for his raw energy and compelling sets. Adding to the international flavor, Deborah de Luca, the powerhouse from Naples, returns to the festival after seven years, promising another high level performance.
New talents and established icons will take the stage, including Azyr from Britain, known for his fiery sets, and 6EJOU from France,.The lineup also features Dyen, bringing his aggressive rhythms, and Franck , making his debut in Portugal. And for the Portuguese deepest flavour, Ornella will be destroying the stage with her selections!
But Sound Waves is not just about music; it’s a cultural experience. Set in the scenic coastal town of Esmoriz, attendees are treated to a backdrop of natural beauty which complements the music experience. The festival grounds will open at 5 PM and the party will continue until 1:30 PM the following day, encapsulating a full spectrum of techno music from dusk till dawn.
