Get ready for one of Europe’s top electronic gatherings, MUTEK Barcelona 2024. After a year-long hiatus, the event is back and lighting up the scene!
MUTEK Barcelona 2024. Three words that have had everyone buzzing since they announced the return of this iconic event, which has been making history for over a decade. After a year of silence, the festival is back from April 9th to 13th and is a must-attend for the audiophiles, in one of Spain’s top electronic music cities.
This year is extra special because it will mark MUTEK’s 15th anniversary. To celebrate, they’ve already revealed 16 artists who will take control of the city for five days. Among them, big names like Actress, Ricardo Villalobos – celebrating the 20th anniversary of his album ‘Alcachofa’, Pelada (Live), Hatis Noit, Jlin, Sofia Kourtesis, and the creative genius duo Nick León & Ezra Miller, known for his innovative creations in real-time generative art, interactive websites, and more. Joining them are other talents like Datum Cut, HiTech, and Iglooghost, the high-definition realism of Daito Manabe, Vegyn, or the emotional tones and complex rhythms of Grand River. A total of 28 artists ready to break the mold and ignite the creativity of all attendees.
They’ll be performing live, in audio-visual sets, and various formats across six locations: Sala Apolo, Roca Gallery, P62, Antigua Fábrica Estrella Damm, and Nista/Astin. Packed with eclecticism and diversity, MUTEK Barcelona 2024 isn’t just about the 15th anniversary in Barcelona; it also celebrates 20 years of MUTEK México and the 25th anniversary of the original MUTEK Montreal.
As for tickets, individual ones for all MUTEK events and the Saturday Pass are already on sale, while festival Passports are sold out.
