Into Clubbers #1 │the vision of who loves clubbing

Each month 3 clubbers and 8 questions. A brief and intimate journey with who loves clubbing and nightlife 0

Francesca Into Clubbers

Who was playing the first time you went clubbing and where were you?

I was at De Sade in Milan and Enrico Logallo was playing; I was 14 years old and it the first time I was going clubbing at night alone, it was a P:Gold night.

Which are the three most important tracks to you?

Oxia – Domino

Hot Natured – Benediction

Claptone – Heartbeat (Technasia remix)

If you were a DJ, who would you like to be and why?

Carl Cox, because as much as he changed over the years, he influenced the electronic music’s world. His sets are pure energy, whether they are of the ’90s or of one of the latest Ultra.

If you could ask only one question to a DJ, what would you ask and to whom?

I would ask Maceo Plex what he feels, imagines and sees to create tracks which are able to touch the soul and make the mind travel so much.

Which club would you like to own and why?

Hï in Ibiza. It was a reference when it was still Space and in my opinion, it still is. Music for me is freedom of expression, imagination, fun, connection and sexuality; this club is all this. The sound system is excellent, the lights and the visuals are amazing. The outdoor area, with a garden, a mini bar and Indian style tents, completes the club makes it suitable for those who just want to have a peaceful chat.

Who do you think is the most overrated DJ and who is the most underrated?

I think Peggy Gou is overrated, just as those artists who are “there” just because of an economical purpose than for else. On the other hand, many others are in the middle, they provide tracks to the big ones and haven’t fully taken root yet.

If you could travel in time, which music event would you like to (re)live?

I would like to live a concert of Michael Jackson or Freddie Mercury, to feel the energy of their shows. I would love to feel the power of their music as a connection between people. I think there were some true values and a wish to get to the heart of all.

With which DJ would you play tennis match?

With Seth Troxler because he’s really funny.

Mattia Into Clubbers

Who was playing the first time you went clubbing and where were you?

Ralf and Coccoluto were playing and I was at an “Echoes” night, at Matis in Bologna.

Which are the three most important tracks to you?

Hotel Lauer – QD, it’s the track which reminds me of the sunset with Sven Väth at the Destino in Ibiza, one of the nicest moments of my life as a clubber.

Gregor Trasher – About a Good Place, played by Sven at the Love Family Park.

Anthony Rother – Don’t Worry, for the connection with my best friend Stefano Di Miceli and our WATS parties.

If you were a DJ, who would you like to be and why?

For his ego and his charismatic way of doing, I would say Ricardo Villalobos.

If you could ask only one question to a DJ, what would you ask and to whom?

Honestly? I would ask Marco Carola how he manages to play the same track in a loop for 8, 10, 24 hours ahaha!

Which club would you like to own and why?

I would like to open another Coocon Club like the Frankfurt one. Same sound system, same furniture desigh, same DJs. Sadly, I will never be able to go, but I saw so many videos and heard so many stories, that it’s as if I had been.

If you could travel in time, which music event would you like to (re)live?

There’s so much to choose, but I’d say David Bowie at Glastonbury in 2000.

With which DJ would you play a tennis match?

I think Nina Kraviz, I don’t know how she plays but with top and skirt at least I would have a good view!

Giulia Into Clubbers

Who was playing the first time you went clubbing and where were you?

Magda was on the mix and I was at Amnesia Milano.

Which are the three most important tracks to you?

Reboot – Caminando, it was one of the first tracks which introduced me to this world

Robert Miles – Children

Alice Dj – Better Off Alone

If you were a DJ, who would you like to be and why?

Ellen Allien because she’s strong, independent and she has contributed a lot to the electronic music scene; we need more female DJs like her.

If you could ask only one question to a DJ, what would you ask and to whom?

I would like to ask Fabrizio Rat how his artistic path was and which were the greatest difficulties he had to face.

Which club would you like to own and why?

I love how Milan is evolving and a reality I really appreciate in the one of Tempio Del Futuro Perduto. It’s music and also culture, interesting initiatives, space for the artistic expression. The importance given to culture is what excites me the most.

Who do you think is the most overrated DJ and who is the most underrated?

The most overrated in my opinion is Marco Carola. Underrated I don’t know who to chose, there are many DJs who would deserve to be much further than where they are.

If you could travel in time, which music event would you like to (re)live?

I really would have loved to live a concerto of Bob Marley because he makes me feel happy; when I listen to his songs I relax and I often find myself singing it merrily.

With which DJ would you play a tennis match?

With Rodhad.
