There’s not a night with a bigger demand for partying throughout the year, either in Barcelona or in any other city on the planet. We haven’t yet met a single person who chooses to stay at home on New Year’s Eve. There is no option: Barcelona opens the doors of all its clubs. What are you looking for in New Year’s Eve? Commercial music, reggaeton, hip-hop, alternative electronic music? Save this article in your favourites list and update it weekly, here we’ll keep you posted about everything taking place in Barcelona on the most important night of the year. We start with three main categories.
Special Underground Parties
Many of the main promoters and organizers of parties in Barcelona’s underground scene take advantage of New Year’s Eve to get special locations and organize parties with extended timetables. Here’s a review of all this kind of parties happening this year.
Colombian Adriana Lopez and her industrial sound is leading the lineup, but it’s only part of all what Astra Space Travel has prepared for this New Year’s Eve. Dancing when you wake up… or not going to sleep? That’s up to the consumer…

If Pacha was warming up engines on the 30th, it is also delivered to the best electronic music of the moment on the night of January 1st, for those who still want more. The other clubs in the city are devoted to much more commercial and well-known sounds. This is what Barcelona offers you for New Year’s Eve if you are looking for Latin music, commercial hits or urban proposals.
Shôko, another of the most important clubs in the Olympic Port, offers a special experience. The club will open its doors at 10:30 pm and will welcome you with a glass of cava and the 12 grapes to celebrate the 12 “campanadas” and the entrance to the new decade in style.
