Special Underground Parties
Many of the main promoters and organizers of parties in Barcelona’s underground scene take advantage of New Year’s Eve to get special locations and organize parties with extended timetables. Here’s a review of all this kind of parties happening this year.
Adriana López and more @ Astra Space Travel (Secret Warehouse)
Colombian Adriana Lopez and her industrial sound is leading the lineup, but it’s only part of all what Astra Space Travel has prepared for this New Year’s Eve. A secret industrial warehouse will host more than 12 hours of techno music (from midnight to noon) on a single stage and in an intimate environment marked by freedom of action and thought. Ideal for ravers from anywhere in the world.

One more year, Checkpoint appears in a secret location to dance on New Year’s Eve to the rhythm of the best microhouse and groovy house albums in the city. Their party will also last 12 hours, although in this case it will be from 6 pm to 6 am, including, therefore, dinner and Las Campanadas time.

Secret Line-up @ Planetaria (Secret Location)
Another of the city’s most underground promoters, Planetaria, will once again bring together fans of its sound, dub, micro, trance and old-school, mostly on vinyl, in an industrial building that will remain open from midnight until after 10 or even 11 in the morning.

Secret Line-up @ New Year’s Day (Luxury Villa)
If you’re looking for a plan that gets you dancing on January 1st, this may be one of the best options (if not the best). The Luxury Villa, located in the upper area of Barcelona, will dance to house music on three floors and a spectacular terrace overlooking the entire city. It will take place from 10am to 6pm. Dancing when you wake up… or not going to sleep? That’s up to the consumer…

Laurent Garnier, Joseph Capriati and more @ Rowsattacks NYD (elrow)
As has become a tradition, elrow opens its doors on the 1st of January to dance under the sun. It will be from 11am to 11pm with the Neapolitan Joseph Capriati and the Parisian Laurent Garnier leading the way. With them, all the residents of the house.

Underground Club Parties
Several of the best clubs in Barcelona also embrace underground sounds on New Year’s Eve. Here’s a look at what we’ll have in some of the best venues in the city.
Marco Carola and more @ Sight (Pacha Barcelona)
Be aware that this is a day before New Year’s Eve! Pacha couldn’t wait until the night of the 31st and, on the 30th, they’ll be dancing techno music with the Italian Marco Carola and his famous groovie sound that has gone around the world with MusicOn.

Paco Osuna and more @ INPUT High Fidelity Dance Club
INPUT couldn’t be missing from the New Year’s Eve map. The best sound system in Barcelona will close the year with the minimalist house sound of Barcelona’s Paco Osuna, Mindshake’s boss and living legend of modern Spanish clubbing.

Roy Rosenfeld and more @ NOM (Sala Bikini)
NOM continues to demonstrate that ethnic music has a space in Barcelona. The shamanic-spirited party also meets its New Year’s Eve date at its usual home, Sala Bikini. For the occasion, it will have the legend Roy Rosenfeld as the special guest.

Pawsa and more @ City Hall
Pawsa has been one of the revolutions of the year in the European tech scene. If your genre is tech-house, and if your sound is groove, you won’t find a better way to close the year.

Raxon and more @ Locked x INPUT (Secret Location)
Locked (a party organiser focused on the most melodic areas of electronic music) and INPUT join forces in a club with a secret address to dance to the rhythm of the Egyptian Raxon (regular of labels like Ellum, home of Maceo Plex) and other regulars of Locked parties.

Gus Van Sound and more @ Moog
Moog bids farewell to 2019 as a family, with three of its residents, three of those responsible for making this one of the most infallible clubs in the whole city of Barcelona. Moog will dance until 6 am with Gus Van Sound, Ruben Seoane and 6TMA.

Marwan Sabb and more @ FACT x Melting Pot (Ethniko)
Another option to give yourself over to the more contemporary tech sounds is that proposed by FACT and Melting Pot. The promoters join forces to take over the cosy Ethniko and make Barcelona dance in a magical space until 7 am… and who knows if more.

Binh, Onur Ozer and more @ Loud-Contact (The Garage of The Bass Valley)
Loud-Contact’s team has also taken over one of the most underground spaces in the city, The Garage of The Bass Valley, to organize a 12-hour party (from 1am to 1pm) with some of the best diggers of the micro movement and collectors of house and breakbeat rarities: the Turkish Onur Ozer and the German Binh will be accompanied by Vera and Lumiere.

Marco Faraone (all night long) @ Sight (Pacha Barcelona)
If Pacha was warming up engines on the 30th, it is also delivered to the best electronic music of the moment on the night of January 1st, for those who still want more. On this occasion, it will be another Italian, Marco Faraone, who will be in charge of keeping the public in the air with his techno sound, usual from labels like Drumcode. And he will do it all night long, from 11:30 pm.

Mainstream Parties
The other clubs in the city are devoted to much more commercial and well-known sounds. This is what Barcelona offers you for New Year’s Eve if you are looking for Latin music, commercial hits or urban proposals.

Hip-hop, r&b and big hits of the most commercial house music. That’s what will be played from midnight to almost 7 am in Pacha, undoubtedly a reference of the night in Barcelona.

Las Campanadas & New Year’s Eve @ Shôko Barcelona
Shôko, another of the most important clubs in the Olympic Port, offers a special experience. The club will open its doors at 10:30 pm and will welcome you with a glass of cava and the 12 grapes to celebrate the 12 “campanadas” and the entrance to the new decade in style. Then, the party will continue until 6 am.
