Into Clubbers #3 │the vision of who loves clubbing

Each month 3 clubbers and 8 questions. A brief and intimate journey with who loves clubbing and nightlife 0

Who was playing the first time you went clubbing and where were you?

I was at a Funk You night at Tunnel Club, in Milan. On the mix, there was D.A.V.E. The Drummer. Yes, I started clubbing and going to music events listening to 180BMP Hard Techno.

Which are the three most important tracks to you?

DJ Rolando – Jaguar

Untold – Targa

Mark Broom – Satellite

If you were a DJ, who would you like to be and why?

I would like to be Sven Väth, one of the electronic music pioneers. He revolutionized the concept of clubbing pushing it to its highest level. He has been on stage for over 30 years, made various generations dance, but despite everything, he has always been in the Olympus of Music. He knows how to involve the public not only with music but with proper shows.

If you could ask only one question to a DJ, what would ask and to whom?

I would ask Minilogue what they were thinking about while they were producing the track “Let Life Dance Thru You”.
Simply magic.

Which club would you like to own and why?

Although I wasn’t able to live it because of my age, I’d say Frankfurt’s Omen Club. Sven Väth’s historical club. For the closing in the ’90s, they even closed the street of the club. And with the speakers outside the party went on also in the street. Rave mentality.

Who do you think is the most overrated DJ and who is the most underrated?

It’s difficult to tell. Many DJs are overrated because of their management and similar details. The underrated ones are those who try to emerge with their strength and their passion, in a clean way, so to say.

If you could travel in time, which music event would you like to (re)live?

There are many moments from the past that I would like to re-live. Concerts such as Woodstock in 1969, or Led Zeppelin, or Queen in Wembley… I would have loved to be born earlier!

With which DJ would you go to the cinema to see the trilogy of The Godfather?

With Carl Cox, I would love if he could adopt me.

Who was playing the first time you went clubbing and where were you?

It was 2015 and I was at Brunch Electronic for a “despedida”. It was one of my first experiences with electronic music. I had a lot of fun, but I absolutely can’t remember who was playing.

Which are the three most important tracks to you?

Whirpool Productions – From Disco to Disco

Jamie Jones & Gadi Mizrahi – Nasty Things (Wolf + Lamb Black)

Narcotic Syntax – Romantic Infinity

If you were a DJ, who would you like to be and why?

Ricardo Villalobos, because he travels and has the opportunity of visiting the world doing what he loves, in all senses. Moreover, very often he plays in open air events, and I love them!

If you could ask only one question to a DJ, what would ask and to whom?

I would ask Ricardo Villalobos which is the most important vinyl amongst the ones he owns.

Which club would you like to own and why?

Gazgolder Club, I love it. The massive windows are similar to the ones of a church and change color following the music, creating a very unique atmosphere. The cozy venue is full of sofas where you can even drink a hot tea, if you don’t want to dance and drink cocktails. The smoking area, completely in wood, almost seems another club. In the external area, where there are more sofas, there are also some big snow balls that give a magical touch, especially when in winter they are covered with snow. The opening hours of the venue let every clubber enjoy at full the clubbing experience and this is something I really love.

Who do you think is the most overrated DJ and who is the most underrated?

I don’t really want to answer this question because I believe everyone has his/her own task and opinion, which I respect and I don’t judge.

If you could travel in time, which music event would you like to (re)live?

Woodstock, Beatles’ first concert ever, or the last concert with Freddy Mercury still alive… There are too many!

With which DJ would you go to the cinema to see the trilogy of The Godfather?

My boyfriend is a DJ, I would surely go with him.

Who was playing the first time you went clubbing and where were you?

My first night clubbing was Alassio’s harbour and a not yet very famous Joseph Capriati was playing.

Which are the three most important tracks to you?

Ilario Alicante – Vacaciones en Chile

Die Vogel – Blaue Moschee

Maceo Plex – Conjure Sex

If you were a DJ, who would you like to be and why?

I would like to be Sven Väth, one of the few who has a real and pure talent.

If you could ask only one question to a DJ, what would ask and to whom?

I would ask Ricardo Villalobos some technical details on some of his particular effects.

Which club would you like to own and why?

I would like to own DC10 in Ibiza because, especially in the Garden, there is a magical atmosphere.

Who do you think is the most overrated DJ and who is the most underrated?

An underrated DJ is Cuartero, in my opinion he has an enormous potential. In regards of the overrated one, I think everyone who plays because of connections or because they have invested in the club that call them to play.

If you could travel in time, which music event would you like to (re)live?

I would like to go back to the last Time Warp in Utrecht, Holland. The organization of the festival was perfect, in every minimum detail.

With which DJ would you go to the cinema to see the trilogy of The Godfather?

I would surely go with Joseph Capriati.
