Hï Ibiza : In The Dark parties, a programming above the top

This summer, Hï Ibiza club launches its In The Dark parties. Every Thursday from June 8th to September 28th, residents DJs Kölsch, Joris Voorn, Luciano, Nic Fanciulli and Steve Lawler will be in charge of programming the best of house and techno in Ibiza. Is the succession of Space ensured ?

First member of the DJ’s quintet in charge of this weekly residence, the Danish Kölsch, signed at Kompakt. His dancing techno, which he does not hesitate to enhance with strings and epic brass, alternates with the exalting house of the Dutchman Joris VoornThe two men have already met many times in Ibiza, especially at Ants in Ushuaia Ibiza last year, where they had closed the season by a b2b with six hands in the company of Andrea Oliva.

Another In The Dark resident, the Englishman Nic Fanciulli, the boss of Saved Records, founder of the Social Festival in Maidstone and producer of a formidable tech house, will also take part to those In the Dark parties. The third thief is Luciano, a well-known figure from Ibiza, where he landed after building a name in the Latin American scene. And finally, Steve Lawler – a return to the roots – as the DJ have been resident at Space Ibiza for 9 years.

The 5 Djs will have “carte blanche” each Thursday of the summer: among their guests are Anëk, the two Danish sisters signed at VIVa MUSIC, Lawler’s label; The French trio Apollonia that is no longer presented; The American Lauren Lane, from Saved Records, and Claude VonStroke. The English scene will be particularly well represented with Cassy’s techno, already invited by Black Coffee, the king of house, Richy Ahmed and not forgetting the funky UK of Skream. Moreover, two figures of the white island complete this plateau: WAFF and Patrick Topping, regulars of the evenings Paradise to DC-10.

Following in Space’s footsteps is next to impossible. But in all fairness, Hï’s programming is an impressive attempt!
