Masseria Wave Turns 5: A Season of Sound, Care & Rebellion in Puglia

Five years ago, a historic masseria in Salento quietly became something else—an underground paradise for music lovers, creatives, queers, and anyone fed up with the status quo. Fast forward to 2025, and Masseria Wave is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a season themed “★彡 The (M)othering Edition 彡★”. The message? Radical care is the new rebellion.

For two straight months, MW transforms its rural Puglia hideaway into a full-spectrum festival of nightlife, activism, art, and collective softness. With over 10 events and a season stacked with genre-fluid artists, drag performers, and fearless community formats, this is the most unapologetic edition yet.

Here’s a glimpse of what makes this summer at Masseria Wave one for the books:

July 26 – Madre Terra

A deep-rooted gathering honouring sound, soil, and connection. With Sgamo, Dubsley, Pentola, and Guido Cagiva, Apulian artists* and collectives who have brought their sounds to the world return home to tell their stories: how much does the elsewhere change us?

Two days of focus with a welcoming party on Saturday 26 July followed by a hangover Sunday with an open desk and poolside conversations between artist and collectives!

August 2 – Gabber Eleganza

Industrial, punk, rave, and poetry in one blast. Gabber Eleganza brings a high-intensity sonic and visual experience that’ll shake Masseria’s walls and rewire your nervous system.

Between hardcore and post-rave cultures. Multifaceted artist, Gabber Eleganza arrives at Masseria Wave for two exceptional moments: a chat without filters and barriers with the audience at sunset before his DJ set. A true ambassador of underground culture.

August 4 – Toccororo

Global club meets southern sweat. The Cuban-Spanish powerhouse Toccororo brings explosive blends of reggaeton, perreo, acid, raptor house and more. Dance floor therapy, unapologetic and sensual. A central figure in Madrid’s queer scene.

August 9 – Alma Negrot + Valentina Luz

Two visionaries in full power mode. Alma Negrot and Valentina Luz take over the masseria for a multi-sensory night of performance, sound, and queer awareness.

August 15 – Ferragosto Sudatissima Wave

On Italy’s most sacred summer holiday, Masseria Wave flips the script with its wildest daytime takeover: Sudatissima Wave. A fully wet, fully queer, no-holds-barred celebration of pleasure, bodies, and pure chaos. From Luigi di Venere and Populous to Annalaura Palmer, The Covellas, and drag icons like Sypario, Signora Chen. The day is packed with hyper camp energy, splashy games, and back-to-back DJ sets from 3PM until sunrise. This is Ferragosto remixed!

August 16 – La Roboterie

Italy’s iconic queer rave collective returns. Since 2006, LaRoboterie is the first travelling queer crew in Italy, to spread the culture of self-determination of those who reject socially imposed gender identities. In Masseria, expect a sweaty, subversive dance night powered by Strobot, Normvl, and Backdrifter. Loud, proud, and radically inclusive.

August 21 – CRRDR at Masseria Wave

One of the most wanted names in Latin club culture, CRRDR lands in Salento for a rare Italian date you don’t want to miss. Hailing from Colombia and now shaping Berlin’s underground, CRRDR pushes boundaries with his signature latincore sound—a ferocious blend of guaracha, deconstructed club, and experimental rhythms. More than a DJ, he’s a movement.

August 23 – Chernobyl x Slim Soledad

Whenever Slim Soledad is on stage, you’re up for an epic ride—Afro-Brazilian energy, ballroom attitude, and unstoppable rhythm. Joined by the trans-led Chernobyl crew, this night is pure rebellion and community from start to finish. Total liberation in the Puglian countryside!

This season is more than a celebration—it’s a reminder. (M)othering is a gentle call to take part, and you’re invited in. No need to play a role—just bring your full self. Come curious, come open, come unmasked. Be part of this journey. Come for the beats, stay for the chosen family. Tickets are available now on XCEED!
