Desert Hearts residents, Mikey Lion and Deep Jesus, headline a special event on Wednesday, November 23rd - the night before Thanksgiving. They will by joined by Kazbah resident, Papa Lu. Part mythical desert harlequin, part modern soul conductor,Mikey Lion is more than a DJ––He’s a freak of nature and a controller of energy. The San Diego-native has earned a dusty mystique over the past few years as the center of the Desert Hearts movement and as a house and techno provocateur with a stage presence that suggests he will ride this wave all the way to the top. If there's one thing Mikey does well, it's get the party started. Anyone that has been lucky enough to feel the unmistakable ethereal groove of Deep Jesus as first morning rays of sun hit their face knows that the experience is just as spiritual as his moniker suggests. Deep Jesus - real name Ryan Orey - is known primarily as one fifth of Desert Hearts, a ragtag group of DJs that are rapidly reshaping the parameters of the West Coast festival scene. But more recently he’s been celebrated as a standout international solo artist, who’s deep, star-salutating house and techno vibes are inducing glass-eyed epiphanies on dancefloors across North America. Papa Lu is a House Music DJ/ Producer & event producer from Berkeley, California. He's quickly grown to be one of the top djs in San Francisco. He's also a resident of the Kazbah Burning Man camp.
