Neopop has announced this morning 12 more names for its 2020 edition. The multi-faceted Viana do Castelo festival is facing one of its most special editions, as it celebrates 15 years of electronic music in the north of Portugal. There, more than 35,000 people will enjoy this summer the live performances of Cobblestone Jazz, Modeselektor and FJAAK and the DJ sets of Loco Dice, Paco Osuna, Honey Dijon, The Black Madonna and the Hessle Audio collective, formed by Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound. To these names, 12 more were added today.
Neopop didn’t highlight any name as a headliner, but it is undeniable that three names have a special weight in the line-up. On the one hand, the acidic sound of the Russian Nina Kraviz. On the other hand, the minimal techno aroma of Canadian Richie Hawtin. And finally, the experimental and always risky groove sound of Chilean Ricardo Villalobos.
Neopop bets strongly on rave sounds with a powerful list of names combining veteran artists like Paula Temple, legends like DJ Nobu or proven talents who are at the top of their game right now, like Hector Oaks, Dr. Rubinstein, Dax J and the industrial and acid live shows of Anastasia Kristensen and 999999999. The melodic sound of the Ukrainian ARTBAT and the Italian Adiel complete this second wave of confirmations.
Neopop’s 15th anniversary will take place from 12th to 15th August 2020 in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, and full festival tickets are already on sale.
