If you’ve been keeping an ear to the ground, you’ve probably clocked that Frankfurt’s nightlife has been cooking up some juicy link-ups lately. Case in point: Friday 16th October sees local stronghold Tokonoma joining forces with Hamburg’s very own AOS collective for a session that’s shaping up to be an absolute heater.
With both cities lately conjuring up an unspoken sync when it comes to club culture, dancing around a mutual respect for quality sound and dedicating their practice to serving all the young music heads in the city, this encounter has come about rather naturally.
AOS have been making serious moves up north, building a heads-down energy straight into a community that’s been expanding significantly from day one. The crew will be rolling into Tokonoma on the 16th from 11:00 pm all the way until 9:00 am, meaning you’d better lace your beaters up tight because ten solid hours in that booth is no light work.
Anchoring the session is vinyl purist and scene don Freddy K, a selector who needs no introduction. Besides his groovy techno, electro and minimal sounds, he’s joined by Blasha & Allatt, the Meat Free co-founders who’ve been setting dancefloors alight across the UK and Europe with their double-barrelled techno selections. Throw DJ Aya in alongside Speckman and Janis Zielinski, and you’ve got your Friday night properly sorted.
Grab a ticket early and prepare to lose yourself in this indoor bender.
