The San Pietro in Vincoli Cemetery, now in disuse, was the first graveyard of the Savoy City built in 1777 and located outside the town wall. With the subsequent construction of the monumental cemetery in 1829, it fell into a state of abandonment and, following the outbreak of the powder of the nearby military arsenal, was seriously damaged until it was closed in 1854. For a long time it was the subject of vandalism, profanation, Blacks until the eighties were radically restored and the cemetery area and the chapel are currently being used as cultural events such as the Varvara Festival, whose name is that of a Russian princess wife of an ambassador at the Savoy court. Legend says that at night his ghost is still walking around the cemetery, and that his unknowing lovers are here. Varvara Festival is an event for dark-haired, esoteric, heavy dark-haired lovers who have become a reference point for such lovers in just two years, hosting national and international performers, live performances and DJ sets.
