The San Pietro in Vincoli Cemetery, now in disuse, was the first graveyard of the Savoy City built in 1777 and located outside the town wall. With the subsequent construction of the monumental cemetery in 1829, it fell into a state of abandonment and, following the outbreak of the powder of the nearby military arsenal, was seriously damaged until it was closed in 1854.
