It was inaugurated in November 2005 in the Basketball Legadue match between Castelletto and Casale Monferrato. Over the years, PalaEolo has hosted important sporting events and it has been the home of Pallacanestro Lago Maggiore (Serie A2 Men's Basketball) and of the Volleyball Ornavasso (Serie A1 Volleyball for women). The sports structure is divided into a large main arena that can accommodate up to 2,600 spectators comfortably seated in a structure designed to offer everyone maximum visual comfort as well as maximum compliance with safety regulations. The size of the gym is optimal for hosting events of national importance, concerts, fairs and spectacular events of all kinds, also counting on the possibility to close the stands at the level of the playing field (parterre) making space for heating areas, gyms, exhibition space. The plant is then equipped with 2 gyms (one equipped with tatami for martial arts practice - judo, karate, etc. and the other multi-disciplinary multi-purpose space), a bar / snack bar, ticket office at the entrance, press room and ancillary rooms to meet the different needs that a major event can attract.
