Gate Milano & Soulstice present: Ryan Elliott, Saoirse & Ferrari On Friday, November 20th, two decades of record digging meet on the Gate Milano floor. Ryan Elliott grew up as a DJ in Detroit and came into his own in Berlin, and his sets expand on both cities. A resident at Berghain and Panorama Bar as well as Offenbach's Robert Johnson, he refuses to be tied to techno or house alone, playing instead where the two overlap. With his label Faith Beat, launched in 2019, he puts out music that is playable but unpredictable, built for dancefloor impact and long life. Saoirse built her path from inner city Dublin, following her mother to free parties and cutting her teeth on pirate radio before a Villalobos set at fabric convinced her to move to London and go all in. Label boss of trUst and founder of Body Movements festival, she digs through a cavernous record bag: an all nighter might start on tech house and finish in jungle. "I like to take risks", she says, "and respond to the crowd". Ferrari, born and raised just outside Milan, played drums in post punk bands before starting as a DJ and producer in 2007. His records have landed on Italo Deviance, Rhythm Section International and on Ryan Elliott's own Faith Beat, and his sets run from rare tech house gems to house with hints of Detroit techno.
