Marcel Dettmann is a German DJ and producer known for his influential role in contemporary techno music, a resident at Berlin's Berghain club, and founder of the MDR record label. Born in 1977, he was influenced by new wave, post-punk, and industrial music before becoming a techno pioneer in the 1990s, making a name for himself at Berlin's techno clubs. His work is characterized by a blend of emotional and raw sounds, and he has also been involved in projects beyond DJing, including film soundtracks like The Matrix Resurrections
