Carpet presents: Fantastic Planet (Tbilisi)

Carpet & Snares is thrilled to invite for the first time ever in Lisbon the Tbilisi based imprint and collective named Fantastic Planet, whose first record counts as one of the best-sellers of the shop. 
 Tbilisi has been continuously proving it deserves its place on the international underground scene, as one of the freshest capital for electronic music enthusiasts with emblematic clubs, parties and labels. For this party, alongside Carpet’s founder Jorge Caiado who needs no introduction, Trotsky, Mtvare, and Alex Pervukhin will be at the rave controls. The latter produced records on Rawax, Hubble, Recordeep (to mention a few), and it is with great pleasure and excitement that we count him as the latest addition to Carpet's team (more info about that to come soon …). Fantastic Planet’s curator Trotsky began his musical journey in 2011 as a DJ at the Georgian capital’s first queer club « Café-Gallery », before launching the label in 2021, after a decade spent refining his skills and identity. The label aims at supporting and promoting the local underground scene and artists outside of the borders, while collecting some of the most important pieces of the local music. In doing so, the imprint earned its residency at TES, one of Tbilisi’s top clubs. Finally, Mtvare ( Elene ) started producing in 2016 and mixing from 2019, and it did not take her long to become one the most in-demand local artist in Tbilisi, playing clubs such as Khidi, Decoder Fest. She will also make her debut soon at the legendary Bassiani. For those who know Tbilisi, you will be familiar with the unique vibe they’re bringing to town. For the others, prepare for a rare opportunity to enjoy the Georgian late night atmosphere - expect loud music played for dark rooms filled with sweaty ravers.
