DODI PALESE
Growing up with a father who ran a radio station instilled an eclectic ethic in Dodi, giving him a strong foundation. For many years, Dodi was a core resident at clubs in Southern Italy, where he explored funk, jazz, soul, afro, disco, house, and techno for up to eight hours a night. This taught him how to lead a dance floor on a rewarding and unpredictable journey through sound, defying categorization.
Dodi is committed to eclecticism as a necessity. In a recent interview, he explained: "I started DJing over 20 years ago, and from the start, I was drawn to mixing different genres. DJs have a crucial role in spreading music. I listen to a lot of music daily, which keeps my perspective broad in production. I like to experiment and avoid classifications. It’s risky because people never know what to expect, but it’s the only way I can make music. I need to have fun, first and foremost." Dodi also runs the label Engrave Ltd with his friend Musumeci.
