KIKA LEWIS BIO Kika Lewis was only 11 years old, when she started her career, back in 1996. Probably the youngest female portuguese dj ever. Her sympathy and gracefulness, as well as a considerable technical evolution, led to a reputation that allows Kika to be among the best portuguese djs. With her acquired experience through the last fourteen years, Kika Lewis does an embracing work, which differs from softer and sung genres to progressive and electronic music, but always regarding the interests of the audience. Kika Lewis and the dj/producer Pedro Carrilho, remixed the theme "Jungle Urbano" by L&M Connection (Luis Leite and Zé Mig - L). So, in October 2006, Kika's first theme is released by Magna Recordings. Presently, Kika Lewis is dedicating more time to the studio, developing new sounds. Her hard work and dedication opened frontiers as international recognition blossomed. Beach Club (Angola), CInnamon Club and La Playa Club (Poland), Queen's Club, Club.PT, Living Room, Moa Club and Para Club (Switzerland), Pacha Moscow (Russia), Eden Club Ibiza (Spain), are some of the clubs around the world where she has played. Many more to come… As Kika won the 2008 Best National Female DJ award, she was invited for a special photo session and interview by MAXMEN (one of the most prestigious magazines for men). She was elected to be the official Maxmen Beach Sessions Dj, in one of the most trendy summer clubs - Sasha Summer Sessions in Algarve. DANCE CLUB magazine, the number one electronic music magazine in Portugal, invites Kika to edit a compilation DANCE CLUB SESSIONS #11, released in July 2010. In 2010 Kika Lewis won for the 2nd time, consecutively, the category of Best National Female Dj, elected by a vast audience of thousands of online voters. NOITE.PT is responsible for these awards.
