Producer and DJ Carina Lawrence is laying down the law in the underground electronic music space. Based in London, the Melbourne born artist has taken it in her stride to serve up crowds across the map with a barrage of house music in all its finest forms. Having tapped into some of the world’s most loved and iconic clubs, festivals and events, while releasing stellar tunes to fire up charts and giving a taste of her flavour with ‘Down Underground’ on Bloop Radio London, it’s without a doubt an exciting journey that’s evolving. Curating a dynamic recipe of melodic house and techno in the studio and taking it to the floors with a fusion of progressive and Afro-house hues, there is no denying the path for Carina is well paved. Revelers can expect a symphony of melodic moments, soulful tribal grooves and eclectic influences emanating from the system while she plays and one look at her in the booth reveals the concentration and attention to detail that she has become famous for. No ego, just good tunes, on-point mixing and a mood and energy in the room second to none. Carina’s love of diverse sounds is encapsulated in her debut release alongside her partner under their new project Otherhalf - @otherhalfmusic. Their track ‘Ancestral’ featured on Australian label @ugenius-music VA ‘Cavalry 007’ in September 2022. Peaking at #3 on Beatport’s Progressive House Releases and #10 on the Melodic House & Techno Release charts, the VA took music enthusiasts to another place, while ‘Ancestral’ held the #38 spot on the Hype Melodic House & Techno charts. On the show circuit, Carina has ticked boxes. From Melbourne’s famed Revolver, to Onesixone, and festivals like Rainbow Serpent, Stereosonic and Future Music Festival. In her new hometown of London, she has graced the decks at the closing weekend of Printworks, Egg London, E1, Studio 338 and The Steelyard. With appearances at clubs in Tel Aviv, Hvar, Bali and Mykonos’ Paradise Club, the music she’s delivering is causing a stir globally. Locally, Carina has also joined forces with some of the top music event curators that the city has to offer, playing for Free From Sleep and Parable, where she’s been on support for international acts including Adriatique, Carlita, Ivory, Jimi Jules, Worakles, Mees Salome, Spencer Brown, Lauren Mia and Joachim Pastor. The last decade has seen her break boundaries in electronic music, perfecting the art of sincere, honest and passionate dance floor delivery.
