Ellen Allien is an iconic electronic music pioneer, DJ, producer, and fashion designer widely recognized as the matriarch of the Berlin techno underground. By 1992, she stepped behind the decks, securing crucial residencies at legendary Berlin clubs like Tresor, The Bunker, and E-Werk, where she mastered her signature mixing style and developed her energetic, eclectic musical storytelling. Driven by a fierce DIY independence, she founded her pioneering multi-genre record label, BPitch Control, in 1999, which became a vital global incubator for cutting-edge electronic talent. Madwoman is a fast-rising DJ and producer originally from Stockholm and currently based in Berlin, celebrated for her innovative and emotionally powerful approach to techno. Her musical universe focuses on a distinct, alternative presentation of techno where stripped-down tracks, driving rhythms, layered percussion, and punchy kicks submerge with hypnotic, atmospheric soundscapes to deliver a raw yet seductive energy.
