AWEN lands at Onyx on April 18th. A voice that’s been turning heads from the outset - through standout collaborations with Adam Port and DJEFF - AWEN has carved out a sound that feels both deeply rooted and globally resonant. Drawing on the griot tradition, her music carries a sense of lineage and storytelling - where songs become vessels for memory, meaning and connection. “In my family, music was the way wisdom and values were passed down,” she says. That energy translates powerfully in the live space. Each performance carries a powerful sense of invocation, a dialogue rooted in heritage carrying Admission 18+ only. Valid physical photo ID is required - no exceptions! Passports Full and Provisional Driving Licences, ID cards, Citizen cards are accepted - No BRP cards or e-visas. At E1, we are committed to maintaining an inclusive and respectful environment for everyone.
