Lineup: Neurodancer + Citizen:Kane [live] + Max Dade + DJ Tusinha [live/DJ] + Lines of Flight [live/performance] About: data[attack] comes about as a delegation of tasks and a co-production from three friends close to the Desterro clubhouse. Bringing a five-performance lineup, the night fuses Violeta Lisboa’s collaborative electro-improv cabaret Art Attack, whose performances are no stranger to the grounds of Village Underground, and datacentre, a monthly residency whose local server typically resides in the depths of Calçada do Desterro. NEURODANCER Neurodancer is obsessed with digging and sharing his finds. The Lisbon-based DJ recently co-founded Capital Decay, a label showcasing like-minded Portuguese artists through records, parties, and a residency on Bristol’s Noods Radio. Neurodancer’s recent appearances have ranged from hypnotic wave trips at Cosmos to razor-sharp electro attacks at ZDB and Arroz Estúdios, and radio sets on mix series the likes of Flagelante and Dark Science Electro. CITIZEN:KANE (Fungo/Maquiavel) [live] Portuguese music producer Citizen:Kane (Marco Guerra), co-founder of the stand-out label Fungo and owner of his own imprint, Maquiavel, also co-hosts the Fungo Transmission and So What By Fungo radio shows, as well as his own broadcast, Amanita Muscaria, on Internet Public Radio. As Citizen:Kane, an array of noteworthy labels have released his musical output: Medical Records Transfusions [USA], Fungo, Paraíso/Rave Tuga, Extended Records, Rádio Quântica, Alienação, Freima Labs, Blackline Records [Portugal], Mands Music and Moira Audio Recordings [Hungary]. Tonight’s performance reflects the essential elements of Citizen:Kane’s latest output featured in his Familiar Voices Are Easier To Understand EP on Maquiavel (2022). Max Dade is a resident DJ at Desterro, an electronic-music-focused cultural association in Lisbon, where he hosts a monthly residency (See @datacentre___). Perpetually wading through the myre of pattern-based grooves and loops, the Portugal-based avid music nerd’s influences stem from the days of night-time FM radio bliss, record shops, archives and time in rumbling basements on the peripheries of anywhere.
