Química returns to Coimbra with yet another exciting line-up. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Cativo is Luísa Cativo. Here's her colorful journey: she was one of the Thug Unicorn parties, which left a mark on the nights of Porto and Lisbon since their beginning in 2012. Before that, she was part of the GRRRL RIOT in Plano B. She also explores heavier music with Instrumental Violence, a collective hailing from Coimbra. Cativo has been a member of Rádio Quântica since 2015, an online community community that combines a passion for music and club culture with social and political activism, where she now has the Fuinki program with producer Assafrão. She has also been a member of the feminist collective Slutwalk Porto since 2015, organizing fundraising parties with them. Her DJ career led her to play in some of the biggest clubs in Lisbon and Porto, and in festivals such as NOS Alive, Walk&Talk Azores and Milhões de Festa, booked due to her ability to manipulate energies and environments through her selections. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Being a resident is not an easy task - João Melgueira is constantly reinventing himself to present a different and challenging set every time he plays. Extensive research into music and mixing techniques helps, though: if there’s a glue that sticks together the night’s eclecticism it’s Melgueira for sure. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Taxsh is a never ending thirst searching for self-knowledge and self-realization, body and mind wise, through emotional and energetic processes. Their art feeds on many physical and metaphysical aspects surrounding them. There is a very unique connection with nature and its dynamics that Taxsh uses as a bridge for their own artistic growing path. Currently in Chrysalis stage, they externalize their work through a fusion of characteristic elements very present in hard techno, electronica, trance and hardcore.
