A Belgian-born DJ with deep roots in Europe's rich electronic musical heritage currently resides in Barcelona and frequently travels the globe to share his talents. He began mixing tracks on vinyl as early as 1993 when house music flooded into his life thanks to this popular genre emerging from America. Henk (HNKS) was a resident DJ at a local radio station in Belgium by the age of 16. Sponsored by various event organizers, he had a weekly electronic music program that showcased his passion for House and Electronic music. Henk was asked several times to play at private parties and afterclubs; at the time, he played a combination of vinyl and CDs. His greatest inspiration came from the DJs who played at the legendary club Cherry Moon which was located in his hometown- where many artists like Moby, Marusha, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills etc... performed. Today HNKS will make you go on a journey with his sets. With his signature mixes between new melodic techno tunes from up-and-coming producers alongside classic hits no one can resist. With an ability to find sounds nobody heard before, he is guaranteed not only to bring attention but also energy into any night catching him playing at.
