À propos

eric volta's Upcoming Gigs Sun 18 Dec, 16 Wonderfruit Fesitval - Solar Stage, Wonderfruit Festival, Pattaya, Thailand Powered by GigaTools There aren’t many artists out there make their debut on some of the bigger labels by climbing out of the demo pile but that is exactly what Eric Volta did when he made his debut on such as Claude Von Stroke’s Dirtybird Records. After the release of Django on Dirtybird, more singles appeared on Four:Twenty Records with long time collaborator Cozzy D, a collaboration EP with friends on Lower East Records, respected Australian Label BEEF, teaming up with lokee creator Sebastian Voigt to release ’42 weeks’ on My Favorite Robot Records from Toronto and most recently – Maceo Plex’s ELLUM audio. Remixes have also appeared on Nurvous Records for Danny, Homework on Exploited Records, App on WYS! Records & Arunaud le Texier’s Safari Numerique even asked to remix Hatiras’s legendary Spaced Invader. The summer of 2012 saw Eric Volta teaming up with long time friend D.Ablo of Uk Hip-hop underground fame – Terrafirma. Together in the studio the two wrote what is a modern day house classic. Recapturing the organ house bass sound of the 90’s but flavored with fresh take on the UK Garage sound. The record was quickly signed to Maceo Plex’s ELLUM AUDIO and gained much support from Dj’s all over. Eric Volta has kept a rather low profile in the London underground electronic music scene over the last few years making most of his Dj appearance’s un-announced or hidden on line-ups relying on strength of his productions to speak for themselves rather than the nature of self-promotion. In the Summer of 2011, Eric Volta was asked to take up a residency with London’s highly respected lokee – who Mixmag quoted as “the best (and most private) Sunday afternoon rendezvous to hit East London in a long time” At end of summer of 2012 Eric Volta says goodbye to his longtime home of London and like many others has joined Berlin with many other in purpose of more creative pursuits. The coming year will see many more releases & remixes from Eric Volta as well as working closely with lokee as they startup Lokee Musik & Because We Care Records and bring their respected underground party vibe across Europe.
