Bio

DJ Jekey is the combination of creative mixing, precise scratching technique and refined musical taste, which turned him into one of the Spanish nightlife's pinnacles and took him to Hong Kong, where he is currently based. Since the beginning of his career in 1997 Jekey has been collecting awards of many sorts, conquering the turntablism competition DMC Spain for 6 times and achieving the 2nd place in the DMC World final of 2002 and the 3rd in 2005. He was also considered the best Hip Hop DJ in Spain in 2004 by DJ One Magazine and received a Pacha Ibiza DJ Award for Best Urban Music Set in 2005. Recently Jekey’s production prowess was also recognized with his remix of Kriss Kross' classic Jump ranking #1 in DJCity's chart. Judging by all these accomplishments it’s hardly surprising how he became a common sight in a handful of clubs and festivals around the 5 corners of the World. From Nike’s private parties to Usa and Asian tours, Jekey has shared some of the best stages there are with the likes of David Guetta, Afrojack, Carl Cox, Steve Aoki, Diplo, Skrillex, A-trak, Grand Master Flash or Jazzy Jeff. By combining the best Urban classics with a new generation of amazing Bass Music like Trap, Moombahton, Electro, Nu-Disco, turntablism tricks and visionary editing, Jekey takes the art of mixing to a whole new level, resulting in never less than an unforgettable night.
