The German duo, based in Essen and Berlin, respectively, have been making music together for just over a decade. In that time, their rich, detailed style has graced the upper-echelons of house and techno’s worthiest institutions, garnering a legacy of releases on labels such as Innervisions, Mule Musiq, Kompakt and Diynamic. The im- pact of tracks such as ‘Acamar’, ‘Wega’ or ‘Ways of the Sun’ has paved the way for the unstoppable rise of Frankey & Sandrino within the global electronic music scene. A wide-open space with a 350 sqm surface, beautiful and majestic, it was recently enhanced through a vivid cultural program. The church of the Misericordia Abbey is a former religious building in the city of Venice, located in the Cannaregio district and overlooking the campo of the same name. Built around 936 AD as a home for monks, it was completely rebuilt in the 13th century, thus abandoning the Byzantine structure and acquiring a Gothic style. The interior consists of a single nave, with a gabled roof. The high altar and marble stalls come from the demolished monastic church of St. Matthias of Murano. Since 1973 the building has been deconsecrated and used mainly to host art exhibitions of the Venice Biennale.
