The Church of Santa Teresa in Scicli, located in the province of Ragusa in Sicily, is a remarkable example of the region's Baroque architecture. Originally built in the 17th and 18th centuries, this church captivates with its rectangular facade and interiors adorned with stuccos and frescoes, reflecting Scicli's rich artistic and cultural history. No longer used for religious purposes, the Church of Santa Teresa has been transformed into a museum that houses relics and fresco fragments recovered from other churches in the region, offering visitors a unique window into the city's historical heritage. The church is situated at the lower end of Via Penna and entrance requires a fee. Scicli, one of the Baroque towns of the Val di Noto, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers numerous other historical and architectural sites of interest, such as Palazzo Beneventano and the Complex of the Croce. The atmosphere is enriched by the presence of many other churches and historic palaces, making it a landmark for lovers of history and Baroque art.
